Graduation Requirements

GPA: Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.8

 

Degree Time Limit: 8 year limit

 

28 credits completed in the first year modules, 34 credits in the elective portion

 

         Credit Requirements:  You need 62 credits to graduate – 28 credits earned during the first year modules, 34 credits remain.  The graduation requirements are outlined in the Graduate Handbook, pg.39-40.

 

         Core Courses:  If you have been mandated to take courses to show competency after the first year modules (you will receive a letter from GPSA), those courses are in addition to the 28 credits. It is highly recommended that you complete these courses in the fall of your second year (if offered) as the courses are not offered every semester.

 

         Capstone Requirement:  6 credits out of the remaining 34 credits are required to be a capstone course:

o         Please note that there are no exceptions to this requirement.

 

         Credit Limits in Disciplines:  You may take up to 18 elective credits in one discipline area - these include Global Management Projects (GMP), MCFEs, and Independent Research Projects.

Self Degree Audit

Tracking Your Progress:

 

The best way to track your progress through the MBA program is to use the Self Degree Audit form located in the Babson Portal.  Once in the Babson Portal, proceed to the Registrar’s website, locate the Graduate Registration Guide, Graduation Requirements/Self Degree Audits/Course Planning Form.  You will then be able to click on your applicable program.  Once you access the form, you can right click to print, go back, etc. This form helps you to track what you should consider in regards to your elective requirements.  (A sample of a Self-Degree Audit is below).
