Babson Alumni DirectoryIn an effort to help students connect with professionals in the Babson alumni community, current Babson students have been given access to the Babson Alumni Directory. Tips for Using the Alumni Directory
| Do's | Don'ts |
- Inform the alum that you obtained their contact information from the Babson Alumni Directory.
- Contact alumni at their business phone or e-mail. If a business e-mail is not provided, use their preferred/lifetime (Babson) e-mail.
- Be aware of industry-specific busy seasons. For example, when requesting informational interviews of alumni working in investment banking, try to avoid early fall. As a second example, when contacting accountants, recognize that March and April are extremely busy times of the year.
- Allow 5 – 7 business days for an alum to follow up with you. If you do not receive a response, it is okay to make a second attempt to reach them. If you still do not receive a response, move on the another name of your list of contacts.
- Send a “thank you” e-mail/letter.
- Stay in touch with the alum.
| - Do not ask for an internship or job.
- Do not ask personal or compensation questions.
- Do not request resume or cover letter critiques from alumni. For these requests, visit Undergraduate CCD.

Reminders
Before you contact a member of the Alumni Community, consider the following:
- Please be respectful of our alumni's valuable time. Conduct research and properly prepare for your conversation prior to contacting anyone in the directory.
- Seek information and career advice. Access to the alumni directory is provided to assist you in your career development, not to ask for a job. Networking with alumni and conducting informational interviews may lead to jobs, but this should not be the purpose of your contact.
- The alumni directory is for official Babson College and Babson College Alumni Association use. Use of the contents of this directory for private, commercial, or political solicitations is strictly prohibited and is in direct violation of copyright and constitutes misappropriation of corporate property.
