Come learn what it takes to write a resume and cover letter that shows employers that you are the best candidate for the position. Wed. 9/20 Employer & Alumni Resume Critique Night Each fall, CCD invites employers and alumni to campus to meet with seniors and juniors to provide you with direct feedback on your resumes. Come learn from those who are on the inside. Get a feel for what employers look for in a resume. Ask questions that will strengthen your delivery of this important marketing tool. Students are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume. 6 pm -

Mon. 9/25 Making the Most of Career Expo Workshop Career Expo is around the corner and there are plenty of internship and job opportunities. Wed. 9/27 Career Expo Career Expo is one of the most anticipated events of the year and it is the official kick-off to the recruiting season. Expo gives students the opportunity to meet with company representatives from a variety of sectors, learn about company trends, explore jobs and internships, and set the stage for future employment connections. This event is open to all Babson students. Business attire is required and students are encouraged to prepare for this event by attending the “Making the Most of Career Expo” workshops and by researching companies in advance of the event. Sat. 9/30 Speed Networking (This program is part of Back-to-Babson Weekend events.) Tues. 10/3 Internships 101 Internships 101 is back to give you the edge in your internship search. ‘Hey, we tell you all the time, now come here it from the companies that will hire you’. The program features an employer panel that articulates the value of an internship experience and outlines the mechanics of the internship search in a candid and educational format. The program will provide an opportunity to network with panelists and also includes a series of concurrent sessions designed to help you learn the tools for obtaining an internship such as writing effective resumes and job search letters, interview techniques, and networking basics. 6 pm -

Wed. 10/4 Case in Point:  Tackling the Case Interview "How many pairs of boxers are sold in the US each year?" "How much chocolate did America eat in 2004?" Strange questions, no doubt, but ones which employers tend to ask as a means to test your ability to think through complex problems. Uncertain about how to best tackle such questions? CCD welcomes Marc Cosentino, author of Case In Point: Complete Case Interview Preparation, to lead a presentation on effectively tackling the case interview. You will not want to head into a consulting interview until you have heard these tips! WHAT ABOUT PERMANENT RESIDENCY?  An immigration attorney will present an information session on employment options for international students after Optional Practical Training (OPT). He will focus on H-1B status and there will be plenty of time for questions.

CCD invites you to come out and get “the scoop” on what select companies will be looking for in their interns for this summer and what types of internships will be popular in the areas of marketing, financing, banking, advertising, consulting, IT, and more. Enjoy a variety of ice-cream flavors as you network and learn new tips for getting your foot in the door for internships in some of America’s top companies. 6 pm -

New York City Investment Banking Trip The Investment Banking Trip is a great opportunity for juniors to learn more about the rigors of this fast-paced industry and the career opportunities available for new graduates.
