Entrepreneurship Concentration
The Entrepreneurship Concentration focuses on opportunity recognition, assessment, and realization. Coursework in the concentration provides students with a broad skill-set for business as well as highly customized paths for success in very specific business systems, including new ventures, franchises, corporate ventures, socially responsible companies, and family controlled enterprises.
Entrepreneurship spans multiple industries: not only technology-intensive ones like biotechnology and telecommunications, but even mature industries like automobiles and shipping. It also includes the service, retail, manufacturing, and nonprofit sectors. There are opportunities to create new businesses by founding a startup, joining a growing business, and innovating in an established large organization, family business, or nonprofit. In addition, many traditional businesses, like accounting, banking, law, and consulting, can specialize in assisting entrepreneurs. For an overview of this concentration, click here.
