Subscribe to the Sunday newspaper for your target city. Scan the classified section for job listings, and the business sections for news concerning the economic climate. Obtain your target area's yellow pages and search for interesting companies in the area.
Library
Visit the library to search national trade magazines and directories and online classified section of local newspapers and to view the local college and university career center homepages.
AlumniGet in touch with alumni who reside in your target area. Refer to the Babson Alumni Directory for contact information. Then, make phone calls to request informational interviews.
Travel to Target AreaTravel to your target area as much as possible. It is a good idea to arrange networking and informational interviews beforehand. Set a goal to conduct two or three meetings on each day of your visit.
