Career Timeline

The Undergraduate Center for Career Development strives to deliver a comprehensive, integrated career planning program which helps students identify and secure appropriate and challenging employment through targeted career programs and services.  Over the course of a student’s Babson experience, CCD works with individuals to achieve this goal by:

  • Helping students understand and articulate their individual skills & interests,
  • Providing critical resources and teaching research techniques which expose students to a broad array of industries and job functions available in today’s market,
  • Teaching effective job search skills that will be applicable at Babson and beyond,
  • Facilitating networking opportunities with employers and alumni to assist students in their transition into the job market, and
  • Offering a robust range of internship opportunities that allow students to explore employment options and full-time recruiting opportunities that are reflective of student interests and lead to rewarding career paths post-Babson.

First Year Introduction & Inquiry Goal
Students begin the career development process by learning about the resources and services available in the Center for Career Development.

Sophomore Year Self-Assessment & Interest Exploration Goal
Students become aware of their individual skills and interests and begin to explore how these areas translate into career options in today’s marketplace.

Junior Year Building Skills & Exploring Options Goal

Students search for projects and field-based opportunities which help them acquire experience in their area of interest to continue the career exploration process.

Senior Year Implementation & Action Planning Goal
Students utilize knowledge of their strengths, interests, and skills acquired through academic and practical training to develop a workable job search strategy.

Students identify realistic goals for post-graduation employment and develop and implement an individualized action plan that will lead to appropriate job placement.
