Career Programs Each year, the Undergraduate Center for Career Development sponsors an array of programs designed to help students learn about a variety of career-related topics from industry advice to job and internship search techniques and to build job search skills. Many programs provide valuable opportunities for students to network with faculty, alumni, and employers.

Who: All undergraduate students
When: September
Featuring employers from a variety of industries, this event kicks off the recruiting season. Meet with company representatives from a variety of sectors to learn more about potential jobs and internships as well as new company trends. This event is open to all undergraduates. Dress for the event is business. Students can prepare for this event by attending the “Making the Most of Career Expo” workshop and by reviewing and researching companies in advance of the event. A full list of companies is available online through the CCD web site prior to the event.
Employer & Alumni Resume Critique Night
Who: Seniors & Juniors
When: September
Each year, CCD brings employers to campus to provide seniors and juniors with direct feedback on their resumes. This event is held prior to Career Expo.
Investment Banking Trip to NYC
Who: Juniors
When: November
Held each fall, the Investment Banking Trip is a great opportunity for juniors to learn more about the rigors of this fast-paced industry and the career opportunities available for new graduates. Students interested in the trip must submit an application with current resume to the Center for Career Development by the deadline indicated on the Calendar of Events. All applications are reviewed and selections are made by members of the faculty. Students selected for participation will be notified by CCD.
Speed Networking Event
Who: Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors
When: February
Networking is the MOST effective internship and job search strategy that you can use. The Speed Networking Event is an opportunity for students to learn how to connect with people who can connect them to various career goals. This program demonstrates networking strategies, and provides an opportunity to practice networking skills with alumni and employers from a variety of industries.
