Facility & Rental Information
The Sorenson Center for the Arts facility, on College Drive in the heart of the beautiful Babson campus, opened in October 1997. The center was designed by the Boston-based firm of William Rawn Associates Architects, known for its design of the Seiji Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood. The 441-seat Carling-Sorenson Theatre features wraparound balconies and side-loge seating that maximize the immediacy of live performance. It is fully equipped with state-of -the-art lighting, sound and projection systems, a dance/rehearsal studio, music practice rooms, dressing rooms and a spacious and comfortable lobby. The building is wheelchair-accessible.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: FALL 2009
Sorenson theater has purchased a new ETC Element light board.
If you intend to learn to operate the new light board, please download the offline editor and familiarize yourself with the console before making an appointment with the Sorenson Technical Director for information and training sessions.
Instructions for downloading the Offline Editor:
1) Copy and paste to your browser: http://www.etcconnect.com/downloads.aspx
2) On the ETC download page: click on the drop-down menu choices:
3) Product line: Entertainment Controls; Product: Element; Download Type: Offline Software; Language: English, Russian, or German.
4) Click Search.
5) From the File Name menu that will appear below the drop-down menu, click on either of these file names, depending on whether you have a Mac or a PC:
Element Offline Software v1.6.0 (Mac)
Element Offline Software v.1.6.0.(P.C.)
