BAWMBA Mission The Babson Association of Women MBAs helps women MBA students build networks, find mentors, develop leadership skills and transition to their next professional opportunity. We accomplish this mission in four ways:
NETWORKS, building substantive relationships that last:
Connecting women MBA students with professional women, alumni, faculty and each other is our primary goal - Alumni Event
- Faculty Event
- Internship Events
- Study Halls and Pub Nights
MENTORS, supporting new students inside/outside the classroom:
As women transition to the MBA environment, the adjustment is often challenging, BAWMBA recognizes that current students who have been through the initial stages of their MBA are an important resource and can help women improve their performance in classroom discussions and gain academic confidence.
- Big Sister Program
- Welcome Dinners
- Career Panels
LEADERSHIP SKILLS, developing beyond the classroom:
BAWMBA aims to bring motivational professionals to campus who broaden our understanding of leadership. We have the opportunity to partner with other clubs and centers in accomplishing this important mission.
- Partnership with the Center for Women’s Leadership
- Center for Women’s Leadership Conference
TRANSITION, enhancing Babson’s career development opportunity: BAWMBA recognizes that many women pursue an MBA to make a change in their career and sees programming geared towards exploration and information as a priority.
- Alumni Liaison/CCD Liaison
- Internship Panels
