Transfer applicants are high school graduates who have completed at least one semester at a regionally accredited community college or university, prior to the application deadline. You must be able to submit an official college or university transcript showing final grades for a full course load at the time of application. You are not eligible to apply as a transfer student if you are in the process of completing your first semester at the time of application.
Students who have graduated from high school and have already enrolled in a regionally accredited community college or university may not apply as a first year student. Transfer applicants may not apply under the Early Decision or Early Action programs.
Babson College welcomes transfer applications for the fall and spring semesters. We generally enroll 50 students for the fall and 20 students for the spring. Our current transfer students come from two and four-year colleges and universities around the world.
For the Fall of 2007, we received 247 transfer applications and enrolled approximately 50 transfer students. The average GPA of admitted students was a 3.5/4.0 scale. If you have additional questions, please call the admission office at 800-488-3696 or 781-239-5522 and ask to speak to a member of the admission staff.
Reapplying to Babson
If you have previously applied to Babson as a first year applicant and would like to reapply as a Transfer applicant you must complete and submit a Transfer Application. You will also be required to submit offical transcripts (including a final high school transcript), a College Official's Report, a letter of recommendation from a college professor, updated essays and a mid-semester grade report and application fee. You do not have to resubmit offical test scores, if we already have them on file.
If you have previously applied to Babson as a Transfer applicant and you would like to apply as a Transfer Applicant again, you must submit an updated Transfer Application. You will also be required to submit updated college transcripts showing official grades from your most recent completed semester, an updated College Official's Report, a mid-semester grade report and application fee. It is highly recommended that you submit updated essays and a new letter of recommendation from a recent college professor.
