Adrienne Fowkes, Assistant Director
Adrienne has spent her entire professional career in education. Upon college graduation, she taught high school at her alma mater, Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA. Adrienne also served as a Campus Minister and the Varsity Sailing Coach during these four years. In 2003, Adrienne began her graduate studies in higher education at Boston College, where she previously received her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Faith, Peace and Justice Studies. She left teaching to immerse herself in higher education, accepting a position in the office of undergraduate admission at Boston College. Adrienne received her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration in December of 2005 and joined the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Babson College in August of 2006. Currently, Adrienne reviews all applications from Florida and all international territories with the exception of Asia. Additionally, Adrienne serves as the co-advisor to the Admission Assistant Program at Babson - working with Babson’s fantastic tour guides is one of the most rewarding aspects of her jobs!
Grant Gosselin, Dean of Admission
Prior to being named the Dean of Undergraduate Admission at Babson College, Grant previously served as associate director of marketing and international admission for Boston College. In 1997, Grant began his career at Babson as assistant director of undergraduate admission and then became associate director of undergraduate admission before the transition to BC. Returning to Babson this past October in his new role, Grant brings a global perspective and strong expertise and experience in considering multicultural college applications. Throughout his career, Gosselin has recruited in 24 countries and 26 states across North and South America, Africa, Australia and the Caribbean and served as an advisor to 60 undergraduate and international student volunteers at BC.
Gosselin has been published in American Colleges and Universities and is a member of New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC), National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), Overseas Association of College Admissions Counselors (OACAC), Council of International Schools, and NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Grant received his B.S. in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from Boston College Carroll School of Management and his M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College Lynch Graduate School of Education.
John Harrison '07
Originally from Westwood, Massachusetts, John Harrison is a senior at Babson concentrating in accounting. John will be a participant after graduation in the Masters of Accounting Program. He is the Co-Chair of the Judicial Board which handles serious student conduct and academic dishonesty acts that impact the Babson community. In the past two years, John has been an active member of the Academic Honesty and Integrity Committee (AHI), which has recently completed a proposal to implement an honor code at Babson in the fall of 2008.
Outside of the Judicial Board, John works as an Admission Intern interviewing prospective students and also helps mentor freshmen in their foundation business course (FME). He also hosted the “Countdown” on Babson College Radio for the past two years which recapped the week in sports. In his free time, John enjoys playing basketball with his friends, watching the Red Sox, and beating his friends in fantasy baseball. After graduation, John has accepted an offer with KPMG as an auditor.
Michael Stenman '07
A senior at Babson College concentrating in Strategic Management and Economics, Mike participates in a range of activities on campus that include clubs, organizations, and athletic teams. Mike interns at the Office of Undergraduate Admission where he serves as the program coordinator of the Admissions Assistant Program (AAP). He captains the Men’s Swimming and Diving Team and is a member of the Babson College Honors Program. In his spare time, Mike enjoys playing sports such as basketball and water polo, listening to music, and watching college basketball. During the summers of 2004 and 2005, Mike interned at St. Paul Travelers in Hartford, CT and throughout the summer of 2006 Mike interned at The New England Consulting Group in Westport, CT. Mike has accepted a full-time position at the New England Consulting Group and will begin his consulting career this coming summer.
Dana Swartz, Admission Counselor
Dana Swartz is the newest Admission Counselor in Babson’s Office of Undergraduate Admission. Dana graduated this past May from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies. Dana became interested in admissions as a tour guide at Lafayette during her freshman year and interning in Lafayette’s Office of Admissions during her junior and senior years. In addition to being involved in admissions, Dana also served as a program coordinator in the Community Service Office, participated in Lafayette’s Orientation Program as an Orientation Leader, and held many different positions in her sorority.
Originally from Andover, MA, Dana hoped to come back to the Boston area after graduating from college. While at Babson, she has assisted with event planning and coordinated the Alumni Admission Network (AAN). She has also recruited and read applications for students from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Massachusetts.
