ABOUT BABSON

  • Founded in 1919 by financier and entrepreneur Roger W. Babson
  • Located on 370 acres in Wellesley, MA (14 miles west of Boston)
  • Offers Undergraduate, Graduate, and Executive Education programs

ADMISSION

  • For the Class of 2011 , Babson received over 3,500 applications
  • 37 percent of the applicants were admitted to reach a target enrollment of 440 first-year students
  • The middle 50% of admitted students scored between a 1800 and 2050 on the SAT.
  • Applications are reviewed for academic performance, level of course work, performance on standardized tests, writing ability, involvement in activities and/or work experience, leadership, creativity

TUITION AND FINANCIAL AID

  • For 2007-2008, undergraduate tuition is $34,112. The average-price of room and board is $11,670. ($45,782 total)
  • 50 percent of Babson students receive some form of financial aid
  • Current students receive over $22 million in financial aid, $17 million from Babson funds
