Your Peer Mentor will be your official guide during Orientation, and will continue to meet with you on a weekly basis during your First Year Seminar course.

Advice for incoming students: By coming here you've made a great life-changing decision that will open many avenues for you, no only pertaining to business but all aspects of life. Advice for incoming students: Make use of all your resources. There are so many available to you from people to programs, and if you take advantage of them, then you can succeed. |

Anything involving friends. I am SO specific, I know. Oh, and setting a personal record for sitting in Trim for 8 hours and 33 minutes. Advice for incoming students: Test the waters and become comfortable. Don't join a million things if you don't want to, but try something. Who knows? Maybe you'll really get into it. And never let one bad experience sour you. Take your time because it is YOUR time at Babson. |

Most memorable experience at Babson:Starting up my own business, playing my first college match, Knight Party, Orientation Weekend Fall 2007. Advice for incoming students: It is easy to get caught up in FME and after school projects. Just remember to take a break and have fun! It will be some of the best times of your life. |

| Manasi Hukku '09 Hometown: Randolph, NJ Campus Activities: Peer Mentor Training Committee, Women's Leadership Program, AMAN Most memorable experience at Babson: My most memorable Babson experience actually occurred while I was studying abroad; it was only after I was away for so long that I truly understood how incredibly unique and valuable my Babson experience and education really were. Advice for incoming students: Always be yourself, but at times walk a few steps away from your comfort zone, meeting people you don't usually interact with and experiencing activities you've never done before. Relax and enjoy the unforgettable moments of collegiate life, but work hard and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way, ensuring that you are learning something new everyday. |

The connections I have built here really have made my whole time at Babson worthwhile. The time I have spent with friends just hanging out always seem to be remembered as some of the best. You only have four years, think about what you want those years to be. |

I was extremely nervous as I performed. At the end of it, I felt the most releif I have had in a long, long time. It was incredible. Advice for incoming students: Every other freshman coming into this school is as scared, as excited, as sad, and as happy as you. Everyone is basically in the same position as you. So don't fell like you are the only one feeling the way you do. Chances are, most people are feeling exactly like you. |

Most memorable experience at Babson: "Trim sitting." A relaxing time to recap with your friends, away fromt he rigors of school and activities, swap stories, and talk fo hours. Advice for incoming students: You're going to be nervous when you reach campus for the first time as a college student, try not to be! Believe it or not, every single one of you is in the same boat- you've never been in college before, it's a whole new world. Just make friends right away, and have as much fun as possible. Get involved! We have a huge amount of organizations on campus for sports, the arts, cultural groups, community service projects, etc. Go out and join any one of these groups- it is the best way to take advantage of what Babson has to offer. You will meet amazing people with similar interests who will make your first year at Babson unforgettable. Also, call your family and friend from home once in a while...they'll miss you a lot :) |

| Daina Williams '10  Hometown: Brooklyn, New York Campus Activities: Women's Leadership, Black Student Union, Posse, HOLA, Peer Mentor Most memorable experience at Babson: As director of community service and a human resources representative in my FME business, DecaWall, I learned a lot about overcoming obstacles like miscommunication, a lack of enthusiasm amongst members, and assuming leadership roles in other departments as well. Advice for incoming students: FME provides a great learning experience, so take advantage of it as much as possible by staying involved and assuming leadership roles in departments other than your own. During your first year, it is also important to know about all the readily available resources on campus. Go as often as possible and visit professors' office hours. There are also many activities/clubs/organizations on campus- don't jump into all of them so quickly before getting used to the work load. Get involved, go to campus events, familiarize yourself with the lifestyle on campus, become proactive, and be open-minded and optimistic. Enjoy your first year; gain new friendships, and don't forget about your friends at home! |
