STEP 1 - Register and complete CSS PROFILE at College Board Online.
PROFILE is the financial aid application produced by the College Scholarship Service (CSS) of the College Board. Complete the PROFILE form carefully. If you need to estimate your income, that's okay. Be sure to submit the application by Babson's deadline listed below. List Babson College, #3075 on the CSS code list.
For students whose parents are self-employed or own a business or farm: Your parents must submit a Business/Farm Supplement and corporate or partnership tax returns, if applicable, directly to Student Financial Services at Babson.
For students whose parents are separated or divorced: When you file the PROFILE, you will receive an e-mail notification to complete the Noncustodial PROFILE. You will be provided with a secure log-on and password, which should be forwarded to your noncustodial parent who can complete the form online.
STEP 2 – Apply for federal financial using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
All Babson financial-aid applicants must apply for federal student aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may submit this form after January 1st, and no later than Babson's deadline listed below. The FAFSA code for Babson is 002121.

In order to finalize your tentative financial aid package, Babson will verify the information you reported on the CSS PROFILE and FAFSA forms with the following documents:
- Signed Parent Federal Tax Return and schedules
- Parent W-2's or 1099 forms
- Signed Student Federal Tax Return and schedules
- Student W-2's or 1099 forms
- 2008-2009 Verification Worksheet
You will receive a request from the College Board Imaging and Documentation Service (IDOC) for these documents. The request will include instructions and a Cover Sheet for you to complete and return to the College Board. Electronic images of all materials will be forwarded to Babson from the College Board.
