Matching Gifts

Would you like to double or triple your gift to Babson? Does your or your spouse’s employer have a matching gift program for qualified charitable contributions?

Please consider having your gift to The Fund for Babson matched. Find out here if your gift is eligible for matching, and contact your company’s human resources office to obtain a matching gift form to submit with your gift to Babson. You will be credited with the matching gift amount for Babson gift society memberships.

Give stock

By giving appreciated securities held for more than 12 months, you benefit in two ways:

  • You can claim a charitable income tax deduction for the value of the shares on the date the gift is made. The deduction is limited to 30 percent of your adjusted gross income in the year of the gift, but any amount exceeding that ceiling can be carried forward and deducted for another five years.

  • You will avoid the capital gains tax that would have been due if you had sold the appreciated securities.
