The Student Experience

At Babson, there is no typical student, which means there is no typical student experience. There are tons of opportunities and ways to get involved. We have more than 75 clubs, organizations, and teams just waiting for your input. Some of the clubs and organizations listed below have a long history with Babson, while others are just starting to leave their mark. Click on a student organization name below to learn more information on each one.

Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity

Alpha Epsilon Pi, the Jewish Fraternity of North America, was founded to provide opportunities for Jewish men seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience.

AMAN

AMAN is an organization dedicated to the expression and awareness of South Asian cultures and traditions here at Babson.

Amnesty International

Amnesty International seeks to ensure that everyone at Babson College knows what human rights are and has the opportunity to take action to protect them.

Armenian Students Association (ASA)

The purpose of ASA is to bring together Armenian students and educate Babson students about Armenian culture and customs.

Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA)

ALPFA’s mission statement is to create opportunities, add value, and build relationships for its members, the community and its business partners. It is one of the largest and oldest organizations for Latino/Hispanic professionals focused in accounting, finance, investment and other related business fields.

Babson Accounting Club

The club  provides educational and career support for accounting concentrators and promotes the accounting concentration on campus.

Babson African Student Organization

The purpose of the organization is to unite all the African students of Babson College and to promote a learning and social environment to enrich students interested in African culture in general.

Babson Art Club

Babson Art Club is a group of students interested in promoting and infusing the arts in the Babson Community through student exhibitions, workshops, events, the display of student art, and working with other art-related organizations.

Babson Asian Pacific Student Association (BAPSA)

BAPSA focuses on the four principles of diversity, self-awareness, friendship, and experience to promote student involvement in spreading awareness about Asian culture and traditions.

Babson Badminton Club

The purpose of the Babson Badminton Club is to provide an opportunity to the Babson community to learn about the Badminton and to promote the awareness of the sport in the area.

Babson Brazilian Association

The purpose of the Babson Brazilian Association is to promote Brazilian culture and pride on campus.

Babson Cheerleaders

The mission of the Babson Cheerleaders is to promote spirit at sporting events for the Babson Community.

Babson Christian Fellowship

The members of the Babson Christian Fellowship know God, grow in Him, and make Him known. All levels of activities and faith are welcome.

Babson Club Lacrosse

Club Lacrosse is designed to create and organize semicompetitive lacrosse practices and games against other colleges and universities. The team is focused on improving team concepts as well as increasing individual skills of its members.

Babson College Radio (BCR)

Babson College Radio serves as one of the primary media outlets of the Babson Community. We provide daily entertainment with an eclectic blend of music, talk, and on-air personalities enjoyed by Babson and beyond. We are the first Web-based college radio station in history.

Babson Consulting Organization

The purpose of this organization is to be an outlet for student creativity in the field of consulting. The organization holds events for speakers, recruiters, and open forums as well as serves as a means to further develop the strategic management concentration.

Babson Cricket Club

The mission of the Babson Cricket Club is to spread awareness about the game of cricket and to eventually set up an intramural tournament.

Babson Dance Ensemble (BDE)

Babson Dance Ensemble provides three nights of dance shows per semester to the Babson community, and provides its members with a way to pursue their love of dance and performance.

Babson Emerging Markets

The organization aims to improve student understanding of entrepreneurial finance and investing policies that affect emerging economies.

Babson Entertainment Initiative (BEI)

The Babson Entertainment Initiative is a partnership between current students, alumni members, industry executives, and professors that allows members of Babson College to become actively involved in and work in the entertainment industry.

Babson Entrepreneurial Exchange (BEE)

The Babson Entrepreneurial Exchange is the oldest and largest entrepreneurship organization on Babson’s campus. An undergraduate student organization, BEE has a mission to help students explore and determine their paths as entrepreneurial leaders.

Babson Entrepreneurial Teaching Alliance (BETA)

BETA teaches middle school students the steps involved in starting a business and gives them the opportunity to implement this knowledge by starting a business and selling to the Babson Community.

Babson Francophone Society

The Babson Francophone Society promotes and shares the French language and culture.

Babson Free Press

This student-run newspaper prints weekly issues that document the student history and mentality in the undergraduate program and increase communication on campus.

Babson Global Outreach through Entrepreneurship (BGOE)

The purpose of the Babson Global Outreach organization is to provide entrepreneurship skills to local entrepreneurs of developing nations.

Babson Hillel

Babson Hillel provides events, speakers, services, and spiritual guidance to the Jewish community at Babson.

Babson Investment Banking Association

The purpose of the Babson Investment Banking Association is to promote investment banking on campus by bringing investment banking speakers to the Babson community.

Babson Islamic Organization

This organization builds awareness regarding Islam on campus and provides Muslim students the resources and support.

Babson Italian Culture Club

The purpose of the Babson Italian Club is to bring together students who are interested in Italian culture.

Babson iTower

The iTower exists to build a community in which students interested in investing can live together and gain investment experience by being immersed in an atmosphere of helping one another on the path to a finance career. Watch I-Tower student Michael Hudecheck, Class of 2009, and faculty advisor Professor Steven Feinstein speak with the Fox 25 morning news about the Stock Competition that takes place at I-Tower.

Babson Korean Student Association

The Babson Korean Student Association seeks to raise awareness about Babson in Korea by linking current Korean students at Babson to Babson alumni in Korea.

Babson Law Society

The Babson Law Society (BLS) is open to all Babson students with a sincere passion for law and for those students who plan on applying/attending law school. The BLS is also meant to be a network for lawyers to meet Babson students and become resources for students in pursuit of their legal passion. The society is composed of four cabinets: the Cabinet of Legal Relations, the Cabinet of Moot Court, the Cabinet of Pre-Law Education, and the Cabinet of Internal Activities.  More information is available at www.babsonlawsociety.com.

Babson Literary Magazine

The Babson Literary Magazine was established to be an outlet for Babson creativity

Babson Microfunds

Babson Microfunds is dedicated to spreading social entrepreneurship by providing humanitarian and financial support to impoverished entrepreneurs while demonstrating the ethical education provided by Babson College

Babson Musicians Union

The purpose of the Babson Musicians Union is to bring together all those at Babson with a passion for music and performing, as well as to hold shows and concerts to showcase the musical talent that our school has to offer.

Babson Olin Catholic Association

The association provides Catholics with a chance to get to know each other on campus and to participate in services and other activities together. We also have some instructional classes for those interesting in learning more about Catholicism.

Babson Outdoors Association

The Babson Outdoors Association advocates participation in outdoor activities. The association organizes several great outings to go white water rafting, rock climbing, etc. for the entire Babson community.

Babson Players

Babson Players organize and perform plays and musicals for members of the Babson community.

Babson Republican Campaign Committee

This group aims to raise political awareness at Babson and to organize Republican-oriented campus events.

Babson Sales Organization (BSO)

BSO seeks to improve sales education at Babson by hosting speakers in the field of sales, attending and recruiting for the National College Sales Competition, and providing a variety of opportunities for Babson students to increase their knowledge of sales and its fundamental role in entrepreneurship.

Babson Taiwanese Student Association (TSA)

TSA strives to promote awareness of the rich culture and heritage of Taiwan, Taiwanese people, and Taiwanese Americans in the Babson community and the greater Boston area.

Babson Thai Student Association

The Babson Thai Student Association promotes and shares Thai culture on Babson’s campus.

Babson United Men’s Rugby Club

The Babson United Rugby Club aims to give every student the opportunity to learn and play the game of rugby. Anyone who comes to practice will play.

Babson United Women’s Rugby Club

The Babson Women’s Rugby Club encourages team spirit and athletics while allowing the flexibility to commit to academics.

Babson VC and Financing Club

The purpose of the Babson VC and Financing Club is to help Babson students learn about the industry by inviting venture capitalists to speak on campus

Best Buddies

College chapters of Best Buddies enhance lives by pairing people with intellectual disabilities in one-to-one friendships with college students while also providing a platform for people to learn about themselves. More info is available at www.bestbuddies.org.

Black Student Union (BSU)

The Black Student Union provides ethnic experiences as they relate to persons of African descent through intellectual, social, and cultural endeavors, to educate the members and the Babson community, and to be a unified support network on and off campus.

Campus Activities Board (CAB)

The Campus Activities Board strengthens the spirit and social interaction on campus by identifying and fulfilling campus needs through cultural, social, political, recreational, and educational events.

Chi Omega

This sorority provides a network that promotes sisterhood, scholarship, community service, campus activities, career and personal development, and friendship.

Chinese Student Organization

This organization strives to create a home for Chinese students at  Babson College.  The group supports and unites Chinese students and promotes Chinese culture on the Babson campus, informing the community about ancient and modern China.

Class Steering Committees

Each current class has a steering committee that plans events to unify their respective class.

Club Lacrosse

This organization plays  competitive lacrosse against other club teams from other institutions.

Colleges Against Cancer

The CAC program allows college students, faculty, and staff to work together to bring American Cancer Society programs and services to college communities nationwide.

E-Tower

The e-tower is a community for student entrepreneurs at Babson College who are actively developing business plans and running businesses. The purpose of the organization is to unite 21 student entrepreneurs and immerse them in an innovative, high-energy environment that promotes creation, evolution, and implementation of business ideas.

Greek Council

Greek Council acts as the programming arm of the Greek community on campus. The council also is the link between the Office of Campus Life and the seven chapters on campus.

Green Tower

This special interest community on campus is dedicated to facilitating green business, providing a forum for the development and implementation of environmentally responsible initiatives, and celebrating the great outdoors.

Habitat for Humanity

The purpose of the Babson College chapter of Habitat for Humanity is to volunteer through Habitat for Humanity and raise awareness of the many people who cannot afford decent housing.

Healthy Living Tower

This substance free tower is a community of students who strive to develop and maintain healthy living habits in every aspect of everyday lives. They strive to share their ideals of healthy body and mind, philanthropy, and community.

Hellenic Society

The Hellenic Society of Babson College strives to bring Greek culture and traditions to life on campus by uniting students with Greek backgrounds and those interested in Greek culture together.

HOLA

HOLA’s goal is to assist and improve the lives of the members of the Babson community with a focus on students of Latin America heritage through educational assistance, cultural awareness, open communication, and creativity.

Hypnotik Dance Crew

The purpose of Hypnotik is to choreograph hip hop performances for the Babson community.

Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council serves as a governing body for fraternities on campus.

Japanese International Circle

The Japanese International Circle promotes Japanese cultural awareness to non-Japanese and Japanese students.

Kappa Kappa Gamma

Kappa Kappa Gamma is a group devoted to friendship and loyalty. Its members are committed to academics, philanthropy, and campus involvement. Its purpose is to provide a support system for members and enhance their leadership skills.

Liberal Arts Tower

This special housing community is where students can discuss and learn about arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The group complements the Babson curriculum by providing students with a holistic approach to thinking.

Luxury and Fashion Association

The Luxury and Fashion Association seeks to expand student knowledge of the luxury goods and fashion industries by meeting individuals from these industries and/or conducting independent research

Men’s Club Hockey

Men’s Club Hockey offers the campus an opportunity to play hockey competitively without the varsity team commitment.

ONE Tower

Origins of Necessary Equality, ONE, is aimed at promoting multiculturalism on campus.

Open

The purpose of Open is to foster lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender/transsexual (LGBT) awareness on the Babson and Olin campuses. The Babson/Olin club provides an environment free from hate, prejudice, or stereotypes. It engages in social and educational activities and serves as a resource for people of all sexual identities and orientations.

Panhellenic Council

The Panhellenic Council develops and maintains sorority life. It serves as the governing body for the sororities at Babson College. The council also is responsible for planning the sorority recruitment process.

Real Estate Investment and Development

Real Estate Investment and Development is a group that brings speakers and increases awareness within this area of business for Babson’s undergraduate population.

Russian Club

The Russian Club unites individuals with interest in Russian culture in order to celebrate and promote cultural appreciation and diversity to the Babson Community.

Sigma Kappa Sorority

Sigma Kappa is a national sorority dedicated to high academic standards, spirituality, and sisterhood.

Sigma Phi Epsilon

Sigma Phi Epsilon’s focus is to support and build individuals throughout their collegiate careers and post-graduate lives to be well-balanced men.

Student Government Association (SGA)

SGA provides a voice to the student body and acts as a resource for all student clubs and organizations.

Students Taking Action Now: Darfur (STAND)

The purpose of STAND is to raise money and awareness for the crisis in Darfur.

Tau Kappa Epsilon

Tau Kappa Epsilon is devoted to the development of strong men through the virtues of love, charity, and esteem.

The Filmmakers Club

The organization is open to all students who have an interest in films, making films, editing, scripts, etc. Our purpose is to emphasize creativity and the artistic style of film.

The Global Society

The purpose of the Global Society is to bring global awareness to the campus and unite international and domestic students.

Theta Chi Fraternity

Theta Chi’s mission is to unite men who believe in the values in the promotion of knowledge, the advancement of culture, the building of character, and the inspiration of true friendship.

Women Giving Back

Women Giving Back was established to promote service and volunteer opportunities on the Babson campus.

Women’s Club Ice Hockey

Women’s Club Ice Hockey provides women at Babson the opportunity to learn, play, and compete in ice hockey with the dedication of a varsity sport.
