AcademicsDiversity is an essential part of the classroom experience at Babson. Not only will you learn from professors with various racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, but you also will benefit from the extensive research faculty members have conducted in areas related to diversity and tolerance.
Professor Elizabeth Goldberg teaches “An Interdisciplinary Approach to Human Rights” which studies basic human rights cases from various countries. You may enroll in “Making Ethnic Selves: The Stories of American Immigrants and Their Children” which is taught by Professor Jeffrey Melnick, who specializes in African American Studies, popular culture, and American Cultural History. “Revolution and Terror In Modern Latin America,” a course taught by Professor Blake Pattridge, examines the historical events of Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean through a study of revolutions. Professor Toni Lester teaches “Intolerance, Culture and the Law” which examines how “law reflects, challenges, and shapes cultural attitudes that people hold about difference.”.
You also may choose to concentrate in several areas that discuss diversity on an academic level. These concentrations include: Gender Studies, Global and Regional Studies, and Ethics, Philosophy and Culture. | Undergraduate Admission |
