Diversity Babson takes great pride in the diversity of our community. Being able to share experiences and embrace differences is essential to being successful in life and in business. Our students come from a wide range of geographic locations, ethnicities, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Students come from 64 countries and 44 states and territories. 42 percent of Babson's students are women - well above the national percentage of female business students. Roughly 13 percent of students are Asian, 9 percent are Latino, 4 percent are Black, and Native American and multicultural students represent approximately 1 percent of the overall population.
Babson is committed to the benefits of a diverse campus. Chief Diversity Officer Elizabeth Thornton “leads efforts to create and sustain an inclusive multicultural environment that attracts, educates, empowers, and retains underrepresented students, faculty, and staff.” Babson has made significant strides in the number of underrepresented students on campus as the percentage of students of color has increased to 26%.
Community support is an essential part of any college experience. At Babson, not only is there support through academic advisers, resident assistants, professors, and mentors, but there also is a plethora of clubs, organizations, and events available to help you develop a diverse perspective. The Center for Career Development also provides resources to meet the unique needs of multicultural professionals. An extensive list of organizations is available through CCD in order to assist all students with their specific career development needs. All of these resources are available to you to help you expand your perspective both inside and outside of the classroom. | Undergraduate Admission |
