On Study Abroad

“I have really taken advantage of the global education Babson has to offer. In January of ‘07, I went to Uganda as a consultant with Babson Global Outreach through Entrepreneurship. While in Uganda, we consulted for numerous microfinance institutions as well as created a new business plan for the development and distribution of appropriate technology to peanut farmers. In the summer of 2007, I studied at the London School of Economics and interned for a consulting firm. Finally, in the spring of 2008, I studied in Hong Kong. Every single one of my study abroad experiences and international endeavors has opened my eyes. My perception toward comparing and consulting my everyday life is now also based through the lens of others.”

Studying in the U.S.

“I knew I wanted to experience something different from Mexico. But in all honesty, I think Babson chose me. When I came here, it just felt right. I love the way Babson offers a ‘way of life’ mind-set, rather than a career mind-set. I am training for more than what I’m going to do with my life—I am training on how to live it.”

On Babson Faculty

“Babson professors are extremely open, approachable, and accessible. They honestly take a personal interest in students. They become your coaches and your personal advisers.”

On Babson’s Approach to Teaching

“Experiential learning is very effective—essentially it’s learning by doing. It is the quintessential factor regarding Babson’s unique approach to learning. It has helped me learn because it transforms real life into a classroom.”
