On Global Perspectives “I feel that learning about others, being considerate and understanding, and being educated about other cultures and ways of life, are some of the most important skills that anyone can hold—not only in business but in life. Because of the diverse population of Babson, you are introduced to this as a student early on, but there are so many other programs and courses that Babson offers to further this experience. This truly makes Babson unique. It’s truly important to me and I feel it should be important to most people, that people are not only tolerant but understanding of different cultures.”
On Learning Outside the Classroom “One of the best things about Babson is that you have so many options for campus activities and organizations. The way Babson allows you to create, manage, and run your own organization is essential to developing skills for employment after graduation. It’s another way that Babson helps us to use skills we learn in the classroom immediately and in a way that we know is effective.”
On Babson’s Experiential Learning Approach to Teaching “My experiences in the classroom have helped to demonstrate exactly how what we are learning that day is actually used outside the classroom. In high school, I constantly heard students complaining ‘We’re never going to use this stuff.’ At Babson, you know you will because they show you how.”
On the Babson Community “Like most communities, it is made up of many smaller ones but what makes us unique is how these smaller communities come together to form a larger, close bond that makes up the school. We are small in numbers, but large in connections. The students know each other through working in different offices, the classes they have been in together, activities they have taken part in, the organizations they are in and just seeing each other around campus. You never see someone just once like you would at a big school. Walking around campus, you can name most people and one or two activities or organizations they are in. There’s always a casual ‘hi.’” | Undergraduate Admission |
