On International Experiences
On the Faculty "The faculty here, from the entrepreneurship professors to the politics professors, are brilliant, engaging, and masters of their crafts who place themselves entirely at our disposal. Some of my most rewarding moments with my professors have occurred when they sit with me directly one-on-one to review a paper or when we discuss topics entirely out of the class subject. Their wealth of knowledge and ability to discuss business issues, most interestingly for the liberal arts professors, is an entirely extra learning experience in of itself."
On Babson's Approach to Teaching "The entrepreneurial focus of Babson is not simply a concentration or a path of study, but a way of thinking, planning, and doing. The way Babson students find an opportunity, grab it, and run with it is inspiring even to companies. In my internships, my managers and co-workers have been thoroughly impressed by my ability to fully take on projects, make them my own, and complete and present them with excellence. This skill has without a doubt come from courses such as FME, OEM (in which we perform a consulting project for a select company), and entrepreneurship classes – how else could students have such direct relationships with company executives and business ventures and see that even as college students they make an impact."
On the Babson Community "The Babson community is a plethora of unique, colorful individuals who execute passions and take on a multitude of leadership positions to not only personal develop but to give back to the community, making differences every day. I am a Peer Mentor, part of a program that helps incoming students transfer into their new college lives. We make Orientation an incredibly fun, memorable experience and help lead a weekly class, First Year Seminar (FYS), which brings the students together to practically discuss prevalent issues in college and the real world. To offer such a program with energetic, spirited Peer Mentors and an unique FYS curriculum itself shows how Babson is committed to instilling a community atmosphere in the first year that will continue on." | This Is Your Babson Blog » Vanessa Theoharis Im going to miss registering for classes& is that lame?
