Babson Faculty Research Fund
External Funding

Many Babson faculty members are engaged in research activities.  All external funding applications are coordinated by the Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations Office.  The BFRF works with CFGR to make faculty aware of funding opportunities and to inform the Babson community about recent awards.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

Babson now has an IRB (Institutional Review Board). All Faculty and Staff involved in doing research with human subjects, including student projects, must now submit an IRB application through the electronic form located on the IRB website. Please direct questions to  the IRB Administrator, Britt Hackmann.

Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations Office (CFGR)
Wendy Silverman, Director, CFGR

The Office of Foundation and Government Relations (OFGR) within Development and Alumni Relations at Babson College provides guidance and assistance to faculty and staff seeking funding from corporations, foundations, and government agencies to support their research and curricular development initiatives. Among the services provided are pre-award activities such as identifying and researching possible funding sources, assisting with cultivation of funding prospects and with proposal development and writing, particularly in the final draft stage, and ultimately with the submission of proposals. Post-award assistance is provided by both the OFGR and the Business Office. Among the activities for which faculty and staff can obtain post-award help are grant negotiation, budget clarification, financial and narrative reports, requests for extensions, and grant close-outs.

Please remember that CFGR must be informed of all grant proposals where the funds will be awarded to Babson College, as the fiscal agent, or where Babson College resources are utilized.
