The STEP Project is more than a research study -- it is a leading edge research and learning partnership that enables business families and academics to learn from one another. The driving force behind the STEP Project is to generate knowledge and solutions that have immediate impact and personal application to business families.

In order to fulfill these research and learning objectives, the STEP Project hosts various activities and events at the institutional, regional, and global levels. The STEP Project will also publish research and practice reports, books, and web-based information to enable families to access the ongoing research results and cases.

Each year, the STEP Project invites participant business families and academics to attend the global Summit. Through structured and facilitated dialogue between academics and families, the Summit creates rich learning opportunities that stretch traditional thinking. The goal of the Summit is to move discoveries from research to practice.

The STEP Project for Family Enterprising is the first global research study to focus on entrepreneurship in business families. For further information regarding STEP, please contact STEP@babson.edu.
