Basic Steps
Enter your company name, industry, keyword, or geographic area in the appropriate search box. You will need Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or higher to view reports. This search DOES NOT SEARCH THE FULL TEXT of the reports! So keep your searches broad and take the time to browse. You may find some juicy nuggets of information which cannot be obtained anywhere else. |
 Advanced Search Tips
To limit your search to only industry reports, type INDUSTRY REPORT in the keyword box and your industry terms: industry report and wireless. Also, to limit the number of company reports generated to those with more substantial page counts, type INITIATING in the keyword box. |
Connecting and Searching via Other InfoTrac Databases
Some Investext data and reports are available in a textual format (sans images, charts, and graphs) within: InfoTrac General Business File - Click on the Proceed button.
- Click on Advanced Search in the left side bar.
- Click on the [Investext] link.
- On the Select index scroll down menu, select your search field and then type in what you are searching for in the search box.
- Click on the Search button.
- Your results will be indicated at the bottom under History. Click View or Modify.
Investext Plus provides additional content, visuals, and PDF formats which are often not converted to the InfoTrac General Business File version. |
 Viewing, Printing & Saving
- Documents can be very long. An electronic copy is usually easier to deal with than the paper copy. Save to the k:temp drive to keep to work with later.
- If the database freezed while you are trying to pull up a long document, right click on the 30 pages PDF and click on Save Target as... and save the document locally, then open it up from the saved copy.
- Whenever printing out selected pages to work with, be sure to print the first page for citation purposes.
