Basic Steps
- Use the Basic Search form on the main screen or click Advanced Search for more options.
- Enter your terms, select options and click Search.
- Sort your results by Top Matches, Newest first, Oldest first, Author or Title.
- From the results list, either
- View this ebook online (your book will be "returned" if there is no activity for 15 minutes) - Show details* for more information and to checkout book for 24 hours, or - Add to my list* to create a list of favorites that you can go back to when you log in. *You will need a netLibrary account to checkout a book or Add to my list. To check out a book for use within 4 to 24 hours, either: - from the results list, click Show details for the item you want, or - while viewing an ebook online, click eContent Details To read or check in checked out items: - click Home or a Search option, choose My Checked Out Items from the top right bar, and then select View this ebook or Check In; - or when viewing online, click eContent Details on the left and click Check in. |
Creating a NetLibrary AccountA personal netLibrary account is needed only if you wish to save notes, create a personal list or checkout a book to reserve for your use only for up to 24 hours. Choose create a free account from the menu bar. |
 Advanced Search TipsThe Advanced Search screen provides a form to search any combination of Author, Title, Subject, Keyword, Fulltext, Publisher, ISBN and Publication Year. You can also select how you would like the list to be sorted or displayed - by Top matches, Newest first, Oldest first, Title or Author. |

 Scope
NetLibrary is a shared collection of over 11,000 electronic books on all topics. Users can search the full-text of the complete collection or a single book, read the ebook online, look up words in a dictionary and hear them pronounced, and with a personal netLibrary account, add notes, create personal lists and reserve books for 4-24 hours. Note: new ebooks added Summer/Fall 2004. Babson College eContent Collection includes 8000 books published 1998-2004 and shared with other library members of the NELINET consortium. The books come from publishers such as AMACOM, John Wiley, Macmillan USA, MIT Press, O'Reilly, and Oxford University Press. A little something for every one! The Public Collection contains 3400 public domain works, such as Shakespeare, Poe and Dickens, but nonfiction too. |
