Basic Steps
The database opens with the Basic Search screen. Here you can do a keyword search in the following fields: - Basic Index
- Abstract
- Author
- Source
- Subject
- Title
The Basic Index searches the index terms from the abstract, major and minor descriptors, key phrase, titles, and table of contents. If you get too many results use the Advanced search tab, you can make selections using the More Search Options tab towards the bottom of the page. This will allow you to select population groups, age groups, language and descriptors. Use the Browse Identifiers (or major descriptors, etc.) to further refine your search. |

PsycINFO PlusText, based on the PsycINFO database from the American Psychological Association, provides abstracts and indexing for 1,500 key titles, with links to 300 full-text titles. Titles in full-text and image formats include The American Journal of Psychology, Educational Psychology, Journal of Marriage and Family, and Social Behavior and Personality. Our subscription covers PsycINFO from 1887 forward with most full-text from the mid-1990s onward. |
