15 Years and Counting
This spring Babson celebrated the 15-year anniversary of its Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program (CLTP), which helps students become self-aware by providing them with advice on their leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Developed by professors James Hunt and Joseph Weintraub, CLTP has held more than 10,000 coaching sessions since its inception.
Lending a Hand
Babson is participating in the Peace Corps’ Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program, offering graduate fellowships of $10,000 per year to returned Peace Corps volunteers. Since 1961, more than 50 Babson alumni have joined the Peace Corps.
A Green Goodbye
To reduce end-of-school-year waste, the Office of Sustainability initiated a program encouraging students to recycle, reuse, and donate when leaving their dorms for the summer. Its efforts paid off, reducing summer send-off waste by almost 29 percent while increasing recycling by almost 13 tons compared to last year.
Partnering in India
In a partnership with Shiv Nadar University (SNU), Babson will bring entrepreneurship education to students in India. SNU will offer a four-year BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), a two-year MBA, and a one-year MS in entrepreneurship. Additionally, the partnership will create a Center for Entrepreneurship at SNU that will conduct research and develop incubation programs, outreach programs, and case studies.
