Babson College Vendor Program

Vendor Carts are set up on Main Street inthe Reynolds Campus Center.  Housed on Main Street are the Campus Bookstore, the Information Desk, Student Businesses, and a Credit Union; making this one of the “high-traffic” areas on campus. Just beyond Main Street is the Crossroads Café, a favorite meeting place for students, staff, and faculty.

 

The Vendor Carts are approximately 3-feet wide by 6-feet long and are designed to be set up in the middle of Main Street allowing students to pass by on both sides to peruse products. Click here to see a picture of the vendor carts.

 

Vendor Carts are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Vendor Registration

Below is important information with regards to reserving a Vending cart in the Reynolds Campus Center.  By submitting this form, you agree to all requirements set forth by Babson College. If you have any questions, please contact Danielle Virgilio at 781-239-4505.

1.  Reservation Confirmation & Payment
After receipt of your reservation request form, the Office of Campus Life will confirm your reservation in person, by phone or via email within 24 hours. Vendors agree to pay Babson College the daily rental fee charged for their business type. Payment must be received on or before the reservation date. In the event of cancellation by the vendor, there will be no refund of the cart rental fee.

2.  Hours of Operation
Vendors can use the carts from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Set up can begin as early as 8:00 a.m., if desired.

3.  Location of Vendor Carts & Provisions
The vendor carts are located on the first floor of the Reynolds Campus Center. The College will supply you with one vendor cart approximately 3x6 feet and one chair. Any other furniture or setup needs, approved by our office, are your own responsibility. 

4.  Check In at the Office of Campus Life
On the day of your reservation, you are required to check in at the Office of Campus Life, Reynolds Campus Center, Room 211. You will be given your cart assignment on a confirmation receipt. This receipt must be displayed on the cart during the entire time period your cart rental. You will also receive a parking permit

5.  Parking
Vendors may only park in designated Visitor Parking. Visitors will be given a temporary parking permit at check in which must be displayed on the driver’s side dashboard. Please display the parking pass on your car’s dashboard while on campus. Please park in Trim Lot, visitor parking. (After entering through the Main Entrance, take the second left, then another left into Trim Lot.)

6.  Unloading Merchandise
Products and displays should be unloaded at the Reynolds Campus Center Loading Dock. (After entering the Babson College Main entrance, take second left, take first right into Hollister Parking Lot. Then take a right into the Reynolds loading dock.)

7.  Sales, Marketing & Publicity
The majority of sales occur between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.   Any publicity must be received for approval at least one week prior to the date of the reservation. The Reynolds Campus Center will post publicity up to a maximum of ten flyers. Vendors may not post their own publicity on the Babson campus.

8.  Babson College Rules, Regulations & Liability
Babson College will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of merchandize or equipment, and vendors expressly assume all responsibility. Use of stereo equipment, radios, or other forms of sound reproduction and amplification is prohibited. All trash must be removed from the assigned space and surrounding area immediately following the end of the reservation time.

9.  Merchandise Policies, Logos, Trademarks & Copyrights
Vendors are not authorized to use the Babson College name or logo on any item unless prior written permission is granted by the Vice President of Marketing. Babson College does not endorse the  misrepresentation of trademarks, copyrights or manufacturers. Any vendor attempting to sell unauthorized products will have his/her dates cancelled immediately, and will forfeit vending fees for all reservations.  Items must be guaranteed to be what the vendor claims (i.e. sterling silver, 14K gold, etc.). Return policy must be clearly stated to the customer.
