Process

Once the strategy of a project or program has been approved, the tactical rollout begins.

  1. The overall production process varies with the level of complexity, but no matter what the project is (print or Web), the cycle begins with the submission of an intake form. Client marketing directors meet with marketing media staff to define the project objectives, timelines, and budgetary requirements. 
  2. Once the collaboration is complete, a project schedule is created and sent out to the individual marketing director.
  3. The next part of the process involves the writing and/or editing of the project. To ensure consistency in the messaging of all communications, Marketing Media consults its editorial guidelines—a document that is continually updated.
  4. When the editing round has been completed and approved by the client, the project enters into design—the fourth phase of the process. Standard projects receive three rounds of design with client feedback at each round. Once approved, the designed project is final read and sent to the vendor for printing or uploading to a Web site if digital.

Projects are tracked through the production cycle by the traffic manager. The status of all projects is monitored daily and reported weekly at meetings with individual client marketing directors.
