Energy Management and Sustainability
Facilities Management and Planning is concerned about the environment and strives to maintain the campus in ways that emphasize sustainability ranging from reducing our carbon footprint to purchasing goods that are recyclable or contain recycled products with the goal of reducing, reusing and recycling.

Other Green Initiatives
Composting
Pending analysis, the College is considering the collection of food waste from the Trim and Executive Education Center's dining facilities for use in composting.
Biodiesel
What is biodiesel?
Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel produced from domestic, renewable resources. It can be combined with petroleum diesel to create a blend, which can be used in diesel engines with little or no modifications. Biodiesel has lower emissions than petroleum diesel; is less toxic than table salt and biodegrades as fast as sugar. The College is using biodiesel fuel (created from its dining facilities waste cooking oil) for campus vehicles and equipment. For more information visit www.biodiesel.org
