As the Director of Graduate Programs and Student Affairs (GPSA), Terry is responsible for the management of GPSA and in this capacity has oversight of student affairs and program management for all MBA, MS and certificate programs offered at the Graduate School. Terry came to Babson in 2005 after years of experience in for-profit, non-profit, and entrepreneurial ventures. Immediately prior to joining Babson, Terry was an independent consultant in an enterprise she founded called TIU Consulting (dba THeINNERU) in Boston. Terry’s work in the non-profit sector includes serving as the Program Manager for the Women of Ethnic Diversity Initiative of The Commonwealth Institute, the Vice President of Operations for Junior Achievement of Northern New England, Inc. and the Executive Director of STRIVE, Inc. She also serves on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations and is a part-time Graduate Lecturer at a local university, teaching topics in non-profit management. Terry received a BA in Economics from Wheaton College and an MBA with a concentration in Public and Non-Profit Management from Boston University.
Sarah is the Associate Director for Graduate Student Affairs. She oversees the student affairs administration and co-curricular advising for all graduate students across our MBA and MS programs as well as provides direct leadership and guidance to the Graduate Student Council, Graduate Judicial Board, and the graduate student organizations. Sarah has over seven years of work experience in higher education, including six years of advising and administering programs for MBA students at Boston University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology and her Master of Arts in English from Lehigh University, and a Master of Education in Administration, Training, and Policy in Higher Education from Boston University.
Laureen works as a Program Assistant for the various MBA tracks in the graduate school. She manages the Graduate Handbook, Annual Awards Ceremony and various other department duties. Laureen developed an interest in higher-education through her exposure in college student government. Laureen holds a bachelors degree from Mount Ida College.
As the Associate Director of the One Year MBA, Kate Buckman is responsible for academic and administrative planning and student advising for the program. Kate spent several years as a Writing and Literature Professor and Writing Coordinator at Wentworth Institute of Technology. At Wentworth she focused on working with underprepared and international college students. Kate pursued her Ph.D. (ABD) in Drama at Tufts University and received her Master of Arts in Theatre History and Dramatic Literature and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Indiana University.
Beth is responsible for the operations of the Two-Year MBA Program. Beth holds an MBA from Babson College, and a BS in Business Management from Westfield State College. As the Associate Director of the Two-Year Program, Beth is responsible for the delivery of the Two-Year program within an understanding of the objectives, criteria, and format established by the Babson Graduate School of Business. This includes meeting with the faculty on a regular basis, setting program goals, and making ongoing changes and adjustments. Beth also coordinates many Two-year activities including orientation, the first year module curriculum materials and logistics, and student advising.
As the Assistant Director for the Two-Year MBA Program, Neely works closely with the Two-Year Program Associate Director to help deliver the Two Year MBA program. Prior to working in GPSA, Neely was the Assistant Tennis Coach for the Babson men and women’s teams for 2 years while pursuing a Master’s Degree in counseling at Boston University. Neely graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in political science.
Petia is responsible for planning, delivery, and overall administration of the Evening MBA program, the MSM Programs, the MSA Program, and the Certificate in Advanced Management. Before joining Graduate Programs and Student Affairs, Petia worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where she was responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive transportation solutions for key business partners. Petia spent most of her time before joining Enterprise in her home country of Bulgaria, gaining a wealth of management experience in various multicultural, cross industry organizations. She is fluent in English, Bulgarian and Russian, and has a basic understanding of French. She earned a Master of Mechanical Engineering from Technical University in Bulgaria. Petia is also currently enrolled in Babson’s Evening MBA Program.
Sandy is the Program Director for the Fast Track MBA and has been at Babson for over 5 years. She oversees the daily operations of the Fast Track MBA and works closely with faculty, students, and Babson’s own Curriculum Innovation Technology Group (CITG) to deliver the Fast Track MBA. Sandy has over 7 years of experience working in the distance learning environment as well as working with numerous “start-up” organizations. Sandy was nominated in 2007 for the "Women Who Make a Difference Award" at Babson College. Additionally, Sandy earned her Bachelor Degree in Marketing from UMASS and a web design degree from The Art Institute of Phoenix. She recently completed her Master's in Higher Education at Boston University and was inducted into the Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society and Professional Association in Education.
Dipti is responsible for planning, delivery, and overall administration of the Fast Track MBA program for all Spring cohorts. Dipti has had experience working in the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Immediately prior to joining the Babson team, Dipti was the Manager, Long-term Programs at United Planet, a non-profit organization based in Boston, which fosters cross-cultural understanding; she is now on United Planet’s Advisory Council. Dipti has also worked in the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce as the Manager in India of Istituto Marangoni, an education institute with programs in Milan, London and Paris. Dipti has worked in India, Italy, and the US. Additionally, Dipti holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Sydenham Institute of Management, Mumbai, India, an MS in Software Engineering from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy and a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai, India.
Amanda is responsible for planning, delivery, and overall administration of the Fast Track MBA program for all Fall cohorts. Since graduating from Ithaca College in 2001, Amanda spent 3 years working for EF Education’s Foundation for Foreign Study assisting foreign high school students as they studied abroad in US for a high school year. In 2004, she moved to Harvard Business School where she worked on various Executive Education programs including the redesign and launch of the General Management Program. Most recently, Amanda was the Manager of Student and Academic Services at Harvard Business School where she managed the Analytics program, the Partners Program, the RC (first-year) student registration, as well as assisting in numerous additional student related events and activities including Orientation and Graduation. Amanda finished her Ed.M in Higher Education Administration at Boston University in August 2007.
Janna K. Roth
Fast Track Portland MBA Associate Program Director
Janna is responsible for planning, delivery, and overall administration of the Fast Track Portland MBA program. Janna worked for the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine for over six years holding various positions. Most recently, she served as the Administrative Curriculum Manager of the medical school program. While at Oregon Health & Science University, she was responsible for administratively managing new medical student orientation, graduation, transitional courses and several other education and student affairs programs. Janna graduated from Beloit College in 2000 with a B.A. in International Relations and Russian. She is currently enrolled in a (blended learning!) masters program in Adult Education at Oregon State University and will graduate with her Ed.M. in June 2010.Janna worked for the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine for over six years holding various positions. Laura works with the Fast Track MBA programs and with the Graduate Programs and Student Affairs team. Prior to this position, Laura worked at the Babson Executive Conference Center for 13 years and became familiar with the Fast Track Program and some of the faculty, staff and students. Laura holds a Bachelor degree from Lasell College.
