Health Promotion & Wellness

The goal of Babson's wellness program is to make information available on a wide range of health topics.  It is our commitment to provide resources that will help students develop life skills to assist them in making responsible choices about sexuality, alcohol and other drugs, nutrition, stress management, relationships, eating concerns/disorders/weight management, and other health related behaviors.

A Safe Zone for Students

The Health Services and Health Promotion and Wellness team is committed to making the department a Safe Zone and works consistently at being allies with GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered) students.

  • Ulifeline (Suicide Prevention).  The College has partnered with the Jed Foundation to deliver an important and valuable on-line support resource for the student community about depression and suicide prevention.  To leverage the anonymity of the Internet and its popularity among college students, the Jed Foundation has created Ulifeline.com, a web-based resource that provides students with a direct link to Babson's Health Services and Counseling Program as well as important mental health information.  We encourage students to take advantage of this great service.  The link can be accessed at: www.ulifeline.com.

  • Half of Us.  The Jed Foundation and mtvU have launched the "Half of Us" campaign.  More college students struggle with depression, anxiety and other issues than you'd think. Nearly half have felt so depressed that it was difficult to function. Through Half of Us, learn about the warning signs, find help on your campus, and connect with students across the country. Half of Us is way too many to be dealing with this alone.  The link can be accessed at:  www.halfofus.com.
