Ride Along Program The Babson College Department of Public Safety would like to introduce the Ride Along Program. Students, Faculty and Staff may participate in the program. This program provides an excellent opportunity for community members to meet Public Safety Officers while they patrol the campus by cruiser and on foot. A ride along will be in a two to four hour block. Applicants for the program may be subject to a back ground check and signed release form prior to riding with the Officer. Application processing will take approximately 3 to 5 business days after submission at which time the applicant will be notified. OUR GOAL
To allow the Babson Community to better understand the role of the Babson Public Safety Officer.
RULES FOR RIDE ALONG
- Riders must wear a safety belt at all times while in the patrol vehicle.
- Riders must obey any directions given by the Officer at all times.
- If there is and emergency and potentially dangerous call, the Officer will leave the rider in a safe location and advise them to stay there unless otherwise directed prior to responding to the call.
