When should my son/daughter begin to use career services and resources?
We believe that career development is an ongoing educational process and we welcome students and alumni at all stages of their career development process. As a result, we invite students to access our services as early as their first year.
How do students learn about career services and programs?
Students are formally introduced to the Center for Career Development (CCD) services and resources in the second semester of their first year as part of the Coaching for Leadership & Teamwork Program. A more detailed explanation of services and resources is presented to students in the sophomore year as part of the IME (Intermediate Management Experience), OEM (Organizing for Effective Management), and MCE (Managing in a Competitive Environment) curriculum. In the IME, OEM, MCE classes as well as in the upper electives, facutly are instrumental in reinforcing the message about the importance of career development.
In addition, students learn about services and programs through multiple venues, including Babson Free Press (weekly student newspaper), flyers posted around campus, and weekly email announcements. Email announcements also provide students with information about internship and job application deadlines.
What resources are available to support students with the job search process?
CCD provides an array of services, resources, and programs -both online and in-person, to support the diverse career needs of Babson students.
How can I learn about what jobs are posted and available for my son/daughter?
Jobs and internships are posted in Babson Career Connections, Babson's on-line recruiting system. Each student is assigned a username and password to access the database. We encourage you to talk with your son/daughter to find out about specific job and internship opportunties.

What resources are available to support students who are interested in attending graduate school?
CCD maintains several printed and on-line resources to assist students who pursue graduate school as a post-graduation option. In addition, career advisors are available to meet with students to discuss their individual graduate school search needs.
Can my son/daughter receive help from your office after graduation?
Yes. CCD provides a variety of services to support alumni. Individual counseling sessions are available to alumni. In addition, alumni are encouraged to visit the office, located in Hollister 220, to view printed materials, including industry guides. Alumni may also access career services and resources online.
