Undergraduate MCFE projects are conducted during the fall and spring semesters over a period of approximately two and a half months. Fall projects begin in September, and spring projects begin in January. Applications from companies interested in participating in the program are due by Early March (for the next fall) or Early October (for the spring semester). An initial screening of the companies and their projects is conducted upon receipt of the application. Students select the project on which they would like to work. Student's decisions are made according to the unique qualities each company will bring to the program. Since the company selection process is highly dependent upon the interests of the students, companies will be notified in June and December whether or not they have been selected to participate in the program. At that time, the teams will be assigned to the companies, and resumes of the team members will be distributed. Selected companies must sign and return the authorization form promptly in order to proceed with the program.
After applying online, the company sponsor will then be contacted to confirm receipt of the application and commence the selection process.
