Counseling Services

Babson provides a variety of counseling services for students who need consultation, referral, and short-term treatment.

The counseling program is available through the Human Relations Service (HRS), 11 Chapel Place, Wellesley. For information about the program, and appointments, please call Lindsay Segar, assistant director of counseling, at 781-239-4407, or contact HRS at 781-235-4950. The staff at HRS consists of clinical psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, and clinical nurse practitioners. Counseling sessions are confidential.

Records of counseling do not become part of a student’s transcript or college record, and are not shared with Babson personnel without a student’s permission. Full-time students are eligible for 8 counseling sessions at no charge. Continued visits may be covered by health insurance, or students can pay for these visits. Common reasons students seek appointments include:

  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Family Problems
  • Relationship Problems
  • Peer Relations
  • Eating Disorders
  • Alcohol-related Problems

In the event of an emergency or an urgent situation that occurs between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m.:
