Advising

There's a lot to adjust to in college, especially during your first year. When you need help, for whatever reason, we want to make sure you get it. Our advising program connects you with people who know you and who can offer advice and support when you need it.

The Office of Academic Services will be your primary source for academic and personal support. You will have the same class dean throughout your time at Babson. Class deans help you plan your Babson experience by offering advice on:

  • Course selection - to make sure you select the right courses and that they meet your graduation requirements.
  • Course variance - to request an increase or a decrease from the standard course load.
  • Cross-enrollment - to explore possible cross-enrollment opportunities available at Brandeis University, Wellesley College, and F.W. Olin College of Engineering.
  • Off-campus courses - to arrange for individual coursework at other colleges.
  • Independent research - to discuss the possibilities of an independent research project.
  • Study abroad - to plan to spend a semester studying overseas.
