First Year Seminar
Your first year of college is one of great growth. You have many exciting opportunities available to you. You will meet new people, live and learn in a new community and discover more about who you are. For some of you, this is going to be your first time away from home. It is normal to feel a mixture of excitement and hesitation when you think about how you are going to adjust to college.
From the moment you arrive on campus for Orientation, numerous people are available to assist with your transition into Babson. From day one, you will meet people who will help you feel settled in your new community. You will be introduced to your peer mentor and twenty new friends who are the members of your Orientation group. An advising team consisting of; peer mentor, staff member (FYS Instructor), and faculty advisor will meet with you weekly during the first 11 weeks of the semester, to help ensure a smooth transition and to highlight the various opportunities available to you at Babson. You will find that your support network is resourceful and fun!
The First Year Seminar program is a weekly seminar designed to help new students achieve the most of their first year.
